8 Simple Steps To Stop Worrying

Freedom, Peace, Prosperity, Happiness, Love!

Are You A Worry-Wobbler?

Do you find your shoulders bunched up anf that you are feeling mentally tensed up. When that happens to me I run a mental scan to find out what’s bothering me. Sometimes it’s a friendly nudge reminding me to do something I’d forgotten. On other occasions, it's a reoccurring fear of lack, or I'm secretly worrying about something. I know that if I don’t deal with it as soon as I catch myself worrying, I end up creating a full blown anxiety attack. As Abraham-Hicks says, "Then the worse it gets, the worse it gets!"

If you worry, you die; if you don’t worry you die anyway…. So why worry?

This is a Designer-Universe we are each fully equipped to create a better, more wonderful way of living and being. We were not designed to be anxious or to occupy the mind with negative creations through worry...particularly because thoughts always become things. Unless you actually want to create hell-on-earth, fill your mind with what you want, by visualizing positive pictures of how you want to be! Live expansively and abundantly while savoring every delicious moment of this Soul Adventure, called life.

Methods To Stop Fear & Anxiety

1) Watch this John Assaraf Video, it will teach you how to visualize and train your mind-management-camera to stay focused on what you want; the life that excites you. Dream of your ideal… and settle for nothing less!

2) Write down a list of everything you desire… exciting places you want to go, inspirational people you’d like to meet, how you want your body to look and the good feelings you want to feel. By writing everything down you are designing your life; by creating a reference blue print that will help you stay on track. (I have a 3 subject note book that I use for this purpose.) Some people use 3 x 5 cards. This list will allow you to have fun using your creative visualization skills. What you are actually doing is incorporating the vibrations of the things you desire within your own vibrational frequency, thereby magnetizing the Law of Attraction. Believe me; you WILL attract the things and experiences.

3) An effective way for me to handle worry and anxiety is to use a handy-dandy brain extension. Take it out of the realm of mind and dump it all on paper… by making a daily ‘to do’ list. I use a notebook that sits next to my computer. I write things down as I think of them. That way, I eliminate ping-pong balls flying around my head of things I need to remember.

4) Flip your thinking and the words you say use. Do you say:”I am worried that…” or “I am concerned …” Stop it! Say, "cancel, cancel, cancel" and then rephrase with what you want… (Forget what you don’t want.) Replace energy-draining statements with energizing statements such as: ” I choose to ensure that…” or “I care about making certain that…”

5) A worry quick fix … especially if it’s a deep fear stemming from past mental conditioning. If you resist and try hard not to worry… it will persist! Let it go and release it, by acknowledging it. Thank the ‘worry’ for getting your attention; assure it that you are creating a positive solution and now that it has delivered its message... it can go. Let it know that it has been heard, done its job, it is dismissed… If you ignore it or try to suppress worry, it will keep popping up like one of those darned pop-ups on a computer screen. The way to block the pop up is to ‘x’ it out and prevent it from returning by the above method.

6) Deal with the fear at the center of your being. I do this in several ways… My best worry and fear zapper is the Ho’opnopono method. This is how I do it.

· I take responsibility for what I have attracted and look it square in the face.

· I put my focus down in my solar plexus, (the feeling center) and imagine that I am at the core of my being. I say with deep sincerity, “I am sorry. Please forgive me? Thank you! I love you. Bless you

· Then I forget about it. If it pops up again. I repeat the above process until the energy has been totally zaped and has dissipated. I don’t know why it works but it does!

"It is not enough
to have a good mind,
the main thing is
to use it well."
- Rene Descartes

In my younger days, I was a "worrier". It was a gene that I inherited or was taught to me by my mother. Now in my later years, I no longer worry...not that I don't have things to worry about...everyone does. But I got over it and when I did, I did it so subconsiously that I was unaware of what happened. Having read this well-done article on the subject it is now clear to me what happened in my case. I believe we worry because we fear things...what might happen, what the outcome will be, how will affect this or that? And on and on.... That was the basis of my mother's worrying. She worried so much I use to say that she worried too much about the people who worried too much! LOL! As I look back on it, I realize that most of my worrying went away with life experience and education. I no longer fear too many things for I have experience them in some way or other. That was not the case for my mother as she led a sheltered life in which she never ventured very far from her roots...fears were easy for her to conjure. For me, there are no longer boogie men under the bed and in the closet to worry about for life has taught me that they are not there at all. WB

Thanks for your comment Wayne, I respect and greatly value your input.

For me, worry and fear are much like 'Mexican Petunias', with roots growing and multiplying underground in the subconscious mind, and if not plucked immediately, before I know it, there's a bunch of worry weeds to get rid of.

Hello, LuxmiH,

This is a useful, awesome, beautiful and interesting post. And thank you very much for writing and publishing it.

Although I have followed a philosophy based on the "Power of Positive Thinking" nearly all of my life, I gained some new insights from this article and was reminded of a few constructive things that I had not given much thought to lately.

I must say it again; I am really glad that I made your acquaintance. Already, you are one of my bright lights here on HubPages.
